Past Programmes of SathSath

Working in Partnership with the International Labor Organization, SathSath launched a project to provide educational opportunities and vocational training to street children. This project was successful in the removal of 110 children from the worst forms of exploitation and abuse.

SathSath and Save the Children UK worked with street children in kathmandu to publish a research book from the child's perspective.

The book addressed street children's attitudes towards, and experiences relating to, NGO's that support street children in Kathmandu. The book was published December 2003.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Among Out-of School street-based children. A Study on Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Beliefs in the Context of HIV/AIDS among Out-of-School Street-Based Children in Kathmandu and Pokhara

Facilitated by UNESCO, this project involved the work of SathSath, Child Welfare Scheme Nepal (CWSN) and Center for Research on Environment and Population activities (CREHPA).

The project was completed in 2005.

Facilitated by UNICEF and Street Kids International, Canada. SAthSath assisted in delivering the training to organizations throughout Nepal who work with children.
